Part of a regional health system is seeking a rheumatologist for locum tenens coverage.The facility is located in upstate South Carolina.Coverage is needed because patient referrals are backed up, and the current rheumatologist will be on maternity leave starting in February. The practice is office-based, with hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays. The clinic sees 15-20 adult patients per day, focusing 100% on arthritis and autoimmune conditions. The practice has six exam rooms and uses the EPIC EMR system. The support team includes one nurse practitioner, two certified medical assistants, and one front desk staff member.
