Details Client NameVeterans evaluation services - Salisbury Job TypeTravel OfferingLocums ProfessionPhysicians SpecialtyGeneral Medicine Job ID30016352 Job TitleLocum - Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine MD Weekly Pay$6868.0 Shift Details ShiftDay - 8x5 - 09AM Scheduled Hours40 Job Order Details Start Date01/13/2025 End Date04/14/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job DescriptionJob Title: Physician Job Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day - 5x8 - 9 am - 5 pm Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: State License required Certifications: Board Certified, Board Eligible Must-Have: - Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions - Personal laptop required (no Mac or Apple products) - Active and unrestricted full license - Willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified Job Description: - Seeking physicians to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams. - Must be within 50 miles of the specific regional locations and be available on a PRN basis, ongoing. - Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. - Two options for coverage: travel and perform exams in leased facilities or schedule veterans within your own practice. - Option to work half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours). - Conduct non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments. - Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluating traumatic brain injury. - Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury with no prescribing or treatment required. - Quick credentialing onboarding. - DMA certification available (can earn CME credits). Will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified. - Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardio conditions required. - Use of Goniometer required. - Training provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). - Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion-no narrative report. The end product is the completion of standardized forms. - Evaluations to be completed through the provider portal. - Record review required in most cases. - Follow-up administrative work required regularly (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics). - Provider to receive and complete VA required DMA certifications and New Provider Orientation Materials as part of the training process. - Once established and if willing, providers may be asked to travel to other areas to assist with cases. Travel expenses reimbursed per guidelines.
