Log Buyer - Boise Cascade Company : Job Details

Primary Duty Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing logs, standing timber and pulp wood chips from government, private or other agencies to ensure a stable supply of logs, stumpage and raw material to meet manufacturing objectives and region operating goals. Sells excess and non-usable/non-profitable logs to external customers. Responsible for implementing the Company's policies, procedures, and management actions to ensure compliance with Sustainable Forestry Management, third party certification programs (SFI, FSC, & PEFC) and Chain-of-Custody system certification requirements. Responsible for the communication of the Company's SFI commitment and promotion of the practice of sustainable forestry to employees, wood producers, and suppliers.
