Position Overview:
Responsible for facilitating import operations of Del Monte Fresh Produce to ensure timely clearances of our produce into the US Market
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist with all import operations of DMFP.
- Filing ISF's for US import cargo.
- Responsible for preparing US and Canadian commercial invoices for Customs purposes.
- Support the N.A. Product Teams with coordination of cargo movements from arrival ports to final destination.
- Process all vendor invoices for Customs Compliance Department including DMFP's Periodic Monthly statement invoices.
- Assist Global Logistics Department with reporting and accounting issues in financial journals.
- Responsible for reviewing invoices for the proper vendor, address, amount, and duties.
- Assist with quarterly value reconciliation for Customs value purposes.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in international business or business administration.
- 5+ years of experience in ocean import logistics, shipping, Customs brokerage, and supply-chain management ideally from a multinational company.
- 10+ total years of working experience in multinational, professional organizations, ideally from shipping/logistics department.
- Outstanding knowledge and understanding of supply chain operations.
- Organizational skills that reflect ability to work independently, and efficiently perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working in global, multicultural environments with required cultural awareness.
- Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentational skills.
- Bilingual with fluent skills in Spanish and English.
- Required to travel: on as needed basis.
