We are looking for a Metal Coordinator to join the Kaiser Aluminum team in Newark Ohio or Spokane Washington.

The Metal Coordinator provides support to the Director of Raw Materials and Metal Traders as well as the Kaiser operating facilities for input materials supply. The Metal Coordinator will be the interface between multiple Kaiser locations and the Kaiser materials vendors.

What you will work on:

  • Schedule prime and scrap deliveries on behalf of Kaiser Facilities.
  • Provide scrap aluminum purchasing support to Kaiser Facilities as needed.
  • Support the Director of Raw Materials and the Metal Traders in administering customer scrap buyback programs where requested by Kaiser Locations.
  • Assist the Director of Raw Materials, Metal Traders, and onsite plant personnel with scrap and dross processing activities at multiple Kaiser Locations.
  • Collect and maintain scrap buying metrics.

Other functions include:

Provide back-up support for procurement activities to accommodate travel, vacation, and for succession capabilities.

What you will bring to the position:

  • College degree preferred; supply chain management highly preferred.
  • Highly preferred a minimum of two or three years of logistics, production planning or high-volume material organizing experience.
  • Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work in teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with Maximo is a plus.
