Job DetailsJob Location Green Circle Growers Inc - OBERLIN, OH DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEW: The Young Plant Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely and complete staging of young plant orders for shipment by tracking and consolidating all sales orders using the proper shipment method, entering data into the ERP system, and communicating with various departments to address and resolve any logistics issues. This role is part of the Young Plants team and requires close coordination with the Growing, Operations, and Transportation teams. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, works to exceed customer expectations, enjoys working with plants, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. JOB DUTIES:
  • ERP Management: Review all sales orders for correct Ship Via codes, enter trucking carrier load numbers for sales orders, and create ERP loads for box shipments
  • Sales Order Fulfillment: Compare weekly inventory availability with sales order demand and ensure orders are fulfilled in full and on time. Load data into the Sortline system. Prioritize and print pick tickets for the Operations team. Assist the Operations team with product location and substitution questions as needed. Coordinate customer pick-up orders.
  • Truck Shipments: Compile weekly sales orders for trucking carrier(s) and coordinates special delivery requests
  • Sales Team Support: Serve as point person for all sales team questions regarding logistics. Ensure weekly delivery methods meet order minimums. Track cart and tray returns from customers.
  • Young Plants Program: Implement and complete weekly greenhouse space utilization tracking measurements. Collaborate with the Young Plant team on order fulfillment numbers and logistics issues as they impact items for future programs releases.
  • Cross Functional Support: Track and share data on claim rates, customers impacted, and reason codes with cross-functional teams. Serve as the Sustainability Lead for the ongoing Cart and Tray Return project. Work directly with the Transportation Team to acquire transportation costs. Works directly with the Receiving Team and Ordering Team to assist with any Live Goods issues that impact Young Plant production.
  • All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS and education requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED or relevant experience required
  • 1-3+ years of experience working in a greenhouse environment
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook Excel, Word, Teams, etc.
  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends, due to the seasonal nature of the business
  • Travel to offsite events and customer visits as needed
  • Willingness to live and work in the North Central Ohio area
