About the Client:

Express is partnering with a large logistics company in Shasta County.

About the Position:

Our client ishiring for a full-time dispatcher in theirRedding office. Theiroffice operates 7 days a week and we are looking to fill a position for Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. After completion of training, weekend shifts and night calls are assigned on a rotation basis for additional pay.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

- Dispatching drivers

- Planning driver routes and overseeing load pickup and delivery status

- Tracking and updating all loads in transportation management system

- Growing load volume through existing and new accounts

- Proactively addressing problems and finding solutions

- Corresponding with customers and drivers via phone, email, and transportation management system

- Coordinating with shop personnel

- Working as a team with your fellow dispatchers

Qualifications:

- 2 years dispatching experience preferredbut not required

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

- Keen attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

- Strong critical thinking skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse team, maintaining kindness and respect

- Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities

- Computer proficiency to utilize transportation management software

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook

Shift:

7 am to 4 pm with rotating nights and weekends after training is completed

$26-$28 per hour depending on experience
