About the Role: The Logistics team is seeking an Associate to join our team. You must be self-motivated, dependable, and excellent team player with willingness to support our distribution and manufacturing material handling activities at APE. The ideal candidate is expected to adhere to appropriate safety, quality, and productivity requirements. In this role, you will interact with other functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experience. The hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The position requires flexibility for overtime hours. This role will be located in Elkton, Maryland. Pay and Benefits:
  • $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
  • This role is eligible for an additional $2/hour shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (in California, the shift differential pay is $2.40/hour).

Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety protocols for the area and the plant
  • Read, print, categorize, and prioritize pick lists and tasks
  • Pick-Pack- Ship orders to customers using scanner and tablet
  • Load, unload, stage, inspect, and store finished goods
  • Ability to write and follow standard operating procedures
  • Utilize external customer portal to print and process shipments
  • Perform domestic and international shipments in ERP and Precision systems
  • Partner with other groups as needed (i.e. Gore Export Americas; Compliance Team; Inside Sales)
  • Perform inventory transactions, and cycle counts
  • Willingness to cross train in other processes as needed within the APE Logistics team
Required Qualifications:
  • Distribution Center and Warehousing experience using scanner/barcode/tablet
  • Demonstrated computer system experience (SAP, ERP, Precision, Word, Excel, TMS, QSI)
  • Customer-service oriented, and exceptional time management skills
  • Basic math & problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to lift 35 lbs
  • A strong attention to detail and prioritization
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible to meet business needs, including working overtime when needed
  • Willingness to complete fork lift training and operate other material handling equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced rapidly changing environment

  • Excellent Organizational and Continuous improvement skills
  • Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment
