The Logistics Manager position is responsible for managing the timely and cost-effective shipment of a variety of Direct and Indirect Materials, supplies and services to meet production requirements for plant and facilities. Responsible for analysis and control of all purchased materials required to ensure manufacturing are sustained and optimized by assuring availability of materials, equipment, suppliers, and services necessary to meet projected and scheduled production requirements. Maintain the highest level of quality and cost effectiveness.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Logistics Manager to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the entire logistics operation, including purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, manufacturing, fulfillment, freight, and shipping. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex logistics operations and implementing innovative strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all logistics operations, including purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, manufacturing, fulfillment, freight, and shipping.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and department heads to align logistics operations with business goals.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize holding costs.
  • Implement and maintain robust logistics systems and processes to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in logistics management and apply these insights to improve our operations.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in managing logistics operations, including purchasing, warehousing, distribution, forecasting, manufacturing, fulfillment, freight, and shipping.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics systems, principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ISO requirements is a plus.
