This position will plan, manage and coordinate all shipping functions. Responsibilities will include logistics team Leadership, Supplier selection and negotiation for transportation and distribution.Position Responsibilities
  • Define the strategy for all inbound and outbound transportation logistics, including the negotiation and execution of Supplier contracts (short / long term agreements for ongoing discounts and pricing).
  • Lead and grow the experience and knowledge base within the logistics team.
  • Deploy common logistics processes / standard work, practices and tools.
  • Identify issues that are barriers to efficient freight management.
  • Ensure all shipments are compliant with industry leading standards and interstate traffic laws and international regulations while ensuring ethical conduct.
  • Driving and leading transformations in Transportation and Logistics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with warehousing software and systems.
  • Desire to train, educate and develop team members and interface partners (Internal, Customers, Suppliers, and Service Providers) to mature process adherence and execution
  • Develop and manage logistics KPIs aligning with standard operating procedures.
  • Assist Logistics Coordinators and other team members as needed to meet schedule.
  • Ensure company policy, system and industry related training is completed and documented.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related area of study with five (7) years of trucking (LTL / FTL), air, ocean and small package shipping experience OR High School Degree/GED plus ten (10) years of trucking (LTL / FTL), air, ocean and import / export logistics experience.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in analyzing, building and scaling TMS systems, capabilities and implementation.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ten (10) years of import / export including international logistics experience.
  • Timely decision making with limited information (ambiguity), autonomy, strong communication skills and the ability to lead cross functionally at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Experience forecasting and preparing freight budgets supporting product manufacturing and field sites.
  • Ability to perform research, compile and analyze data, and write concise and accurate reports on complex subjects.
  • Strong Supplier relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in the use of various MS Office Suite programs and prior ERP (Warehouse Management) experience.
