Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Inbound and Outbound Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our client's logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, transportation, and warehouse processes. The Inbound and Outbound Logistics Manager will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to customers, ensuring timely delivery and cost- effectiveness. Strong desire for someone to also utilize lean principles to foster continuous improvement in all aspects of logistics for company and process improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inbound Logistics:

1. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of raw materials, components and final products.

2. Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.

3. Implement and optimize inbound logistics processes to reduce lead times and minimize costs.

4. Oversee customs clearance processes for international shipments.

5. Monitor and analyze inbound logistics performance metrics, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.

Outbound Logistics:

1. Develop and implement strategies for efficient order fulfillment and distribution to customers.

2. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to prioritize shipments and meet customer and business expectations.

3. Negotiate contracts and rates with transportation providers to optimize outbound shipping costs.

4. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and carriers.

5. Monitor and analyze outbound logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.

Warehouse Management:

1. Supervise warehouse operations to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient order picking and packing.

2. Implement safety and security protocols within the warehouse environment.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies or shipping errors.

4. Continuously optimize warehouse layout and processes for improved efficiency.

Documentation and Compliance:

1. Ensure all shipping and customs documentation is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.

2. Stay informed about industry regulations and changes to customs laws, adapting processes accordingly.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

2. Proven experience in inbound and outbound logistics management.

3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.

4. Proficient in using logistics software and systems (TMS, SAP transportation module and others)

5. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

6. Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.

7. Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

8. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

9. Ability to timely manage priorities and workflow.

10. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

11. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).

2. Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
