Our client is an importer and wholesale distributor of fine wines and craft beers based in Moorestown, New Jersey. Their philosophy is simple: find and represent the top examples of viniculture, viticulture, and craft brewers from around the world.The Logistics & Operations Manager is responsible for managing the operational logistics of warehousing, shipping, receiving, order picking, truck routing, fleet maintenance and building maintenance.This position requires a results-oriented, dynamic individual with openness, mental quickness, and the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth company. Ideal candidate will be hands on and provide support as needed in the department when necessary. This role may require active forklift driving to cover short staff or working in the warehouse when needed. This is not a purely administrative role.Responsibilities:- Planning and oversight of inventory control, logistics/warehouse, ensuring that goods are received and moved quickly, appropriately, safely, and timely- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring workplace safety and security procedures and protocols- Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements, and enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions- Utilization of available warehouse space to accommodate incoming shipments- Responsible for forecasting and planning for all warehouse sites and actively track, assess and improvement logistics- Able to analyze data to help manage inventory demand- Perform routine audits of all areas, create and review metrics for functional areas- Keeps senior management informed of the status of multiple projects and deadlines, and regularly communicates resource needs and requirements- Identify key project issues and risks and create and implement satisfactory solutions- Plan the arrangement of product within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock, such as chilled goods or fragile productsFull benefits and 401K matching 4%.
