A Day in the Life of the Logistics Operations Manager

In this role, youll be at the helm of logistics operations, driving strategic initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency. Your leadership will help foster a motivated team while ensuring that safety and compliance are always top of mind, contributing to our client's mission of delivering quality service to their customers.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize delivery routes and minimize costs
• Leading and mentoring a team of managers overseeing commercial drivers
• Monitoring day-to-day logistics operations to ensure timely deliveries and regulatory compliance
• Collaborating with vendors, dealers, and stakeholders to strengthen partnerships

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Masters degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in logistics and transportation management, particularly in overnight freight delivery
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and positive work culture
• In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency in logistics management software and technologies
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
