Role Summary:
We are looking for a proactive Logistics Specialist to oversee international freight operations, including ocean and air shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries. This role involves coordinating with job sites, customs clearance companies, and freight forwarders to manage schedules, resolve issues, and maintain compliance with import/export regulations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in logistics optimization, and an excellent communicator, capable of ensuring seamless freight operations in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or freight operations, with a focus on international shipping (ocean and air freight)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to coordinate complex shipment schedules
- Analytical skills to record, analyze, and report freight data for cost optimization
- High level of accuracy in maintaining shipment records and ensuring compliance with all logistics processes
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, external partners, and job sites
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with a result-driven mindset
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate international freight, including both ocean and air shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure all logistics processes are carried out responsibly, with attention to detail and accountability.
- Record, analyze, and report freight data to optimize logistics processes and improve cost efficiency.
- Act as a liaison with job sites to coordinate delivery schedules, resolve issues, and ensure smooth freight operations.
- Collaborate closely with customs clearance companies and freight forwarding agents to handle documentation and ensure compliance with all import/export regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and logistics transactions.
- Proactively identify and resolve logistics challenges, working with internal teams and external partners.
