This role is integral to the smooth running of our warehouse operations and will require a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all logistics activities, ensuring efficient and timely production, and distribution of our food products. This position requires a deep understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), SAP software, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all logistics operations, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, and HACCP regulations in all logistics operations.
  • Utilize SAP software to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
  • Direct distribution center operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
  • Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers.
  • Prepare or file environmental certification applications.
  • Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Logistics Supervisor or similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience of working with GMP, SQF, SAP, and HACCP.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory management software.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team to success.
