Job DetailsJob Location Cleveland - Cleveland, OH Position Type Full Time Salary Range $61,700.00 - $97,500.00 Salary Job Category Supply Chain DescriptionSUMMARY The Logistics Supervisor provides oversight for Shipping, Receiving, Storeroom and Raw Material Management. This position also is engaged in SIFCO's Export Control systems. This position directly supervises the Shipping Coordinator. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Shipping
- Directly Manage Shipping Coordinator and back-up position in all duties and transactions
- Generate and manage execution of monthly Logistics Plans to ensure timely shipment of all finish product, outside work and other deliveries
- Attend daily Ship Plan meeting and help Shipping Coordinator proactively prepare for planned execution of on-time shipments
- Work to optimize shipping costs while maintaining on-time delivery
Export Control
- Work's with SIFCO's Export Control responsible official to execute export control processes for Cleveland
- Responsible for the maintenance of all Cleveland export control records
- Submit for all renewal and new licenses proactively to maintain on-time shipment
Receiving
- Perform receiving transactions in SAP for raw material, Process/storeroom supplies and Outside Work.
- Ensure that receive is performed in accurate and timely manner
- Work with Quality, Operations, Purchasing and Finance to resolve issues with received product and paperwork
- Responsible for maintaining the MSDS system stored on Share Point and updating as necessary
Steelyard
- Manage steel yard; raw material receipts, material identification, staging material for production, location identification
- Monthly cycle counts to maintain high accuracy of steel yard inventory
Storeroom
- Structure and manage all storeroom-related activities in accordance with annual budget. Analyze, requisition, and maintain storeroom inventories and blanket orders
- Develop and implement plans in collaboration with maintenance, operations and purchasing that minimize cost and maintain inventories to ensure supply and part availability for the continued operation of the plant
- Maintain designated storeroom performance metrics
- Create item master record with min/max levels for all repetitive purchase items
Saw Room
- Engages with operations to help oversee Saw Room activities
- Ensure safe and productive work environment
- Drive sustained improvement in 6S and Visual Factory
All other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Direct Management of Shipping Coordinator, and oversight of Material Handler and Saw Operators. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent; 10+ years of relevant Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; Extensive experience as ERP system expert in Shipping and Receiving functions; Formal training in Export Compliance highly preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret general maintenance drawings, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, of managers, clients, customers and the general public. MATHMATECAL SKILLS Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical operations such as metric to standard and fraction to decimal conversions. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and proposed effective plans for repair and part acquisition.
