QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree or substitute teaching license. Preferred to be fully bilingual in Spanish and holds a TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Endorsement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Must provide in-class instruction as directed by the teacher collaboration with native language support to provide access to Ohio's Learning Standards and in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Must be flexible and dependable while maintaining the confidentiality of students and families.
  • Maintain classroom management of small groups of students in the target language.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in target language and support English Language Proficiency Standards including domains of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
  • Adheres to all HCSD policies as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Be willing to work as a team within the ESL Department at the building level as well as the district level.
