Longshoreman - Dock Laborer - CSX Corporation : Job Details

Operate, maintain, and repair machinery/heavy equipment. Primary Activities and Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Operate and maintain heavy equipment (e.g. dump truck, crane, coal pusher/dumper, bobcat) Maintain mechanical parts of conveyors and bulk material handling equipment Operate and maintain diesel pushers Operate electric and gas welding equipment Fabricate, cut, shape, and perform finish operations using various types of materials Perform periodic service on machinery Operate car retarders and electrical switches Perform clean up activities in the dock area as well as other general laborer duties Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager Pay Rate. Full rate $41.56/hour. Training. You will attend paid training, which could be out of town. CSX will pay for travel and lodging as required by collective bargaining agreement.
