Hiring Range: Minimum $ 18.84 to Mid $ 20.93 per hour.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for selling and cross-selling Credit Union services to current and potential members. Credit Union services are to be promoted using the member benefit-based approach .
- Fully complies with the requirements of all Credit Union policies, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and OFAC Policies.
- Stay abreast of all laws, rules, regulations, and procedures on debtor rights, collections, and recovery and/or credit union policy related to collecting past-due accounts and repossessions.
- Responsible for understanding and performing the general duties of a Loss Mitigation Specialist.
- Assist members, through various forms of communication, to resolve delinquency, prevent repossession, or redeem collateral once repossessed.
- Identify potential repossessions and submit them to management for approval.
- Submit the order for repossession once approved.
- Cross-train to provide backup for Remarketing Specialist.
- Works with Member Business owners to offer solutions on past due business accounts to the point of legal action.
- Works with members to offer solutions for past-due mortgages up to the point of foreclosure.
- May be assigned other tasks by appropriate line supervision.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities with this position.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook Email /Calendar, and Internet Explorer software. Experience with financial institution collection and skip tracing system preferred. Must be proficient in the operation of the core processing system and other ancillary software.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
