Job SummaryJOB TITLE: Bilingual Parent Liaison/ELPAC Coordinator DEADLINE: Friday December 13, 2024, at 3:00pm, or until position is filled LOCATION: Multiple Sites: Loyalton Elementary School, Loyalton High School and Downieville Schools. SALARY: $19.19-$21.59 per hour beginning wage subject to experience and qualifications BENEFITS: Paid holidays, vacation, sick leave- Generous health insurance benefits; CalPRS retirement; ASSIGNMENT: Beginning immediately Full-time, 6.0 hours daily/30 hours weekly; 10 month employee DESCRIPTION: Under the general or direct supervision of certificated staff member(s), the Bilingual Instructional Aide provides instruction to and assistance to primarily English Language Learners (ELL) in grades kindergarten to grade 12 to reinforce the development of language skills. The Instructional Aide will reinforce and augment a teacher's effort in the classroom. The employee may assist the certificated staff with review of student homework, provide remediation and prepare instructional materials. Assignment includes kindergarten through grade 12. Requirements / QualificationsPrefer applicants with experience working in school environment. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a passing score on the District Proficiency Exam. A CBEST passing score fulfills the exam requirement. Fluency in both English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
