We are currently looking for a Full Time LPD Budget Analyst to join our Office of Under Secretary of Tribal Law Enforcement team located at the Lighthorse Police Department - Ada Precinct working 8:30AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.Summary:Responsibilities:* Design, implement and manage the fiscal year budgeting and planning process for the Office of Tribal Law Enforcement* Develop expenditure forecasts to prepare the appropriation budget for the fiscal year* Responsible for managing tribal, federal, grant and equitable share budgets* Continuously monitor/engage with departments concerning budget to actual analysis and reporting during the fiscal year* Apply complex financial ratios to data to develop descriptive as well as predictive models* Prioritize the budgetary proposals of leadership and allocate restricted funds in accordance with the objectives the Office of Tribal Law Enforcement* Prepare narrative and graphical reports to ensure executive management has a complete view of the budget/forecast variances including historical, current, and future projections* Analyze and protect sensitive data/information (e.g., payroll information, contracts, and tentative long term / short term plans of leadership).* Understand and synthesize data from an array of sources (e.g. Kronos, Stream-It/eRequester, Cognos, etc.) then extrapolate metrics to derive decisions* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Must be able to exert analytical and critical thinking skill* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines* Federal, state and local law and law enforcement regulations* Knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting* Knowledge of federal grant programs and requirements* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as financial ratios, allocations, and other metrics with ease* Knowledge of budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes* Organizes work and assigned area logically and orderly* Define problems, collect data and establish facts* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management* Writes effective communications with team, departments, guests and managementSkills:Essential:* Excellent Microsoft Office skillsExperience:Nonessential:* 4 years directly related experienceEducation:Essential:* High School, GED or EquivalentNonessential:* Masters Degree in directly related fieldCredentials:Essential:* Pass general background check* Standard Driver's LicenseNonessential:* Certified Public Accountant* Certified Financial AnalystWorking Conditions:Essential:* Works in an office setting* Pass pre-employment drug test
