LPN - Upstate University Hospital : Job Details

Job Summary: Greet patients, direct to exam rooms, prepare for exam. Routineassistance during exams: set up trays for injections, measure andrecord progress of patients, take and record vital signs. Assist withgeneral office duties, reception, appointment scheduling, filing andchart preparation. Contact various insurance companies to obtainauthorizations for physical therapy, MR's, CT's, surgery, etc. Contactprimary care physicians to obtain referrals on new patients or extensions of referrals on current patients. Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/registered LPN. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required. Preferred Qualifications: Prior orthopedic or urgent care experience preferred but not required.
