LPN

Turning Point is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The LPN promotes a therapeutic milieu and provides quality patient care. Collaborate with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point. In addition to the above, duties may include:

• Patient assessments
• Medication administration
• Medication education
• Provide direct patient care
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
• Maintain accurate and complete data and records
• Perform observation rounds
• Communicate therapeutically and age appropriately
• Intervene with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique
• Therapeutically communicate with patients. Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills
• Directs/redirects behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences. Responds appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria
• Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care

This position's days will vary. Shifts are generally from 530am - 600pm.

• One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred.
• Licensed by the State of Georgia in good standing- LPN required
• CPR certification required (training provided)
• Crisis Prevention (CPI) required (training provided)
