About the M&A Team The M&A Team is responsible for all aspects of the M&A process, from deal origination through to execution. Our mandate is a global one, seeking to buy subscription based B2B companies providing business intelligence. We typically focus on deals with a value of GBP 20m-100m, focusing on transactions with entrepreneurs and buyouts from corporates and PE funds. We pride ourselves on being to move quickly to complete deals and this is reflected in the fast-paced culture of both GD and the M&A team. The role In December 2023 we announced the carve-out of our Healthcare division and partnership with PE firm, Inflexion, to accelerate the expansion of this business. A key part of this, is growth through M&A, and we are looking to hire an experienced M&A Director who will focus solely on Healthcare. As a Director, you will be an integral part of our M&A team, working on all aspects of the process and responsible for leading HC deals from origination through to integration, alongside the COO. What you'll be doing - Originate sufficient transactions (both directly and via advisors) to add at least GBP 25m of revenue to the business pa. - Handle multiple M&A projects in parallel. - Oversee an analyst to prepare financial models for each transaction. - Assist in the full transaction execution process, co-ordination of due diligence phases and act as the main contact person for GD. - Actively participate in external meetings with advisors and companies that we target. - Supervise and coach analysts, help them enhance their contribution and develop their capabilities. What we're looking for - Degree educated with a focus on finance, business administration or related specialization. - Additional professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, ACCA is desirable but not essential. - 5+ years in a M&A environment, with a demonstrable experience playing a lead role in executing transactions. - Excellent communication skills, able to build strong and influential relationships with stakeholders at every level both internally and externally. - Strong mental agility and project management skills, able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Advanced business writing skills, able produce high quality and impactful professional documents for internal use at Board level.
