We invite you to explore our website at www.testek.com for more information about our company and our products.Testek Solutions is currently seeking an experienced machine builder/pipefitter in assembly of hydraulic & mechanical test equipment.Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sets up and fabricates complex mechanical, electro-mechanical or hydraulic assemblies, subassemblies and component parts utilizing various forms or written and oral instructions, automatic and semi-automatic machines and hand tools.Performs administrative tasks associated with assembly operations which include progress tracking, job problem forms, shortage reports, schematic and BOM red lines.Must communicate with management and engineering on job progress, issues, and resolutions.Fits and assembles components according to assembly schematics, manuals, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines using hand tools and power toolsAnalyzes assembly schematics and specifications manual and plans machine building operationsVerifies conformance of parts to stock list and drawingsLays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assemblyAligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist, bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts using hand tools, rivet gun, and welding equipment.Verifies alignment and tolerance of moving parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators and thickness gaugesAssists less skilled assemblers.Tests operation of assembly by handAssembles, sets up, and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specificationMay form and fasten piping, fixtures, and attachments required to service machine with air, water, and oilMay install wiring and electrical components to specificationsMust be able to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of hands-on pipe fitting experience.High school diploma or equivalent education and experience to demonstrate ability to perform the job.Hydraulics knowledgePneumatics knowledgeMust have a strong mechanical backgroundExperience with motors and gear boxes preferredSteel FabricationPipe BendingAbility to read and understand drawings and schematicsBasic Shop MathExperience building machinesMust be a team playerMust be flexible and have the ability to work with othersMust have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced engineering/manufacturing environment
