MACHINE CONTROLS TECHNICIAN - 1ST ShiftESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Installs and configures new & refurbed automated industrial machine control systems
  • Programs PLCs--writes and modifies PLC logic to control machine operations according to specifications.
  • Performs routine maintenance checks, calibrating sensors and actuators, and updating system software.
  • Diagnoses system malfunctions, identifies faulty components, and performs repairs to restore operational functionality.
  • Provides support to Maintenance & Engineering teams to assist in trouble shooting and repairing machinery as needed.
  • Performs Data Analysis- Monitors system performance metrics, identifies trends, and recommends improvements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Works weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.
  • Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
  • Follows all prescribed safety regulations including the proper use of all required personal protective equipment.
  • Follows all Environmental Policy and Quality Policy guidelines.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition according to established Gibbs 7-S Guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education, knowledge, skills and abilities: Education: Associate's degree or higher from two-year College or technical school preferred. Certifications: CCST Preferred. Experience: 1-2 yrs Control Tech with Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, proficiency with PLC programming, & ability to diagnose & repair system faults.
