Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator CNC, Programmer to join our team in Albertville, AL. This role combines the hands-on operation of CNC machines with technical programming expertise to fabricate high-quality parts efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in CNC programming and machining processes, along with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining parameters, tool selection, and tolerances.
  • CNC Programming: Develop and edit CNC programs using specialized software to produce parts efficiently and accurately.
  • Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines and other equipment, such as saws, lathes, and milling machines, to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Measurement & Precision: Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure part accuracy and quality.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve programming or mechanical issues during machining, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to verify they meet the required specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines and related equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Safety Standards: Adhere to safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience creating and editing CNC programs using CAM software.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and material properties.
  • GD&T: Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web browsers.
  • Problem-solving: Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and multitasking skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand or sit for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
