By choice we are committed to a diverse workforce -EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled**Job Description**The operator of the Cut and Pack process will be responsible for running an automated system that cuts and packages sandpaper sheets. The operator will be responsible for change overs, loading of material, quality checks and process flow of the automated system. As a Cut and Pack Specialist, you are expected to maintain a positive work environment by following the appropriate safety procedures.**Qualifications****Required Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Training, Experience, etc.****Proficiency***Understanding proper product flow on machineIntermediateUnderstanding and following 5S procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organizationIntermediateAbility to properly record downtime / Machine Breakdowns / Organizational Failures in daily management sheetsSeniorAbility to use HMI to select proper programsIntermediateAbility to mechanically change over an automated machine with use of changeover work instructions and proper trainingIntermediateAbility to follow BPS standards with understanding how different aspects of BPS interactEntry**Additional Information**Load material on machine as neededOperate pin lift, pallet lift, and hoistSet up and start up of the machine and operate successfullyMake successful adjustments to machine as neededAssist in the troubleshooting of machine issues and assist with repairs according to escalation planReading and following standard operating procedures pertaining to the machine being operatedFollow the appropriate quality standards and measures for the machine being operatedUnderstand and following procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organizationMaintaining knowledge of all safety procedures associated with the machine being operatedMachine has a feeding system by clamp beam working on idle conveyor, the system is motorized. The feeding clamp beams are placed one before and one after cutting head.Touch screen parameters provide the possibility to set material width in between the cuts (trim), to have the minimum waste as possible. A recipe menu provide the possibility to save machine setup data for each combination: shape size, master web width, material type, etc. The operator has only to recall the desired recipe to start a new machine setup.
