Machine Operator ( Day Shift) - Juice Concentrate - SHORELINE FRUIT : Job Details

Position Summary:Juice Concentrate Production Operators set up, operate, and tend to equipment used in the filtering process to produce clarified fruit juice concentrate and fruit infusion syrup.Primary Responsibilities:

• Sanitize and inspect machinery for startup.
• Pre-coat rotary vacuum filter.
• Heat treatment of juice from press by a pasteurizing process.
• Start deputization process and complete time cycle.
• Add enzymes to product when requested.
• Run filter process thru membranes.
• Maintain levels in deputization tanks and in concentrate feed tanks.
• Maintain proper flow rates.
• Clean filters as needed during process.
• Responsible for ensuring membrane filters maintain consistent product feed rates to ensure established product specifications are met consistently.
• Qualify and receive sign off signatures for the operation of all filtering equipment used to produce clarified fruit juice concentrate and infusion syrup.
• Assist in training of new operators as requested by management.
• Must receive forklift and sanitation qualifications.

Physical Requirements

• Performing physical activities that require considerable use your arms, and back such as lifting.
• Job requires standing on feet and or walking throughout the entire work shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• The ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch twist, or reach out with your body and arms requiring flexibility.
• Work involves operation of lift trucks when necessary.

Experience:

• Clear communication (oral and written) skills.
• Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required if possessing appropriate skills.
• Employees will be trained for several cycles working with an experienced employee
