Job Title: Part Time Machine Operator – FlashlightsShift: 1st shift 6:45 AM to3:15 PMPay Rate: $15.70 per hourPart-Time Hours: 25-30 hours per weekPosition Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Machine Operator to join our Flashlight Department. This role will involve operating manual machines, assembling components, and performing inspections to ensure the production of high-quality flashlights. The ideal candidate will be proactive, committed to safety, and dedicated to producing top-tier products.Essential Functions:
- Operate manual machines and testers to ensure the quality and efficiency of flashlight production.
- Assemble flashlight components as well as complete flashlight assemblies according to written instructions.
- Run parts through the press/machine for inspection approval.
- Check parts for proper gauging and measurements, ensuring that each part meets production standards.
- Obtain inspection approval to proceed with further processes.
- Continuously monitor the press/machine for proper operation.
- Lubricate machinery as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Assemble, weld, and process parts per operator instructions.
- Identify and report any malfunctions or issues that may cause damage to parts or machines.
- Inspect, sort, and rework parts as necessary to maintain production flow.
- Ensure all parts are up to quality standards and that issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Accurately measure parts and document results.
- Return parts to the designated bins and record measurements as part of the statistical process control documentation.
- Ensure all required data is logged to track production quality.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience operating manual machinery is preferred.
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow written instructions.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the workday.
- Competitive pay rate of $15.70 per hour.
