FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Starting Wage: $25, depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Location: Benicia, CA On-site

~~ $1,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90-days~~

As a Machine Operator, you will:

+ Safety Compliance: Prioritize safety in all activities, including regular safety training, adherence to UPM and OSHA guidelines, and enforcement of safety policies.

+ Material Management: Load materials onto machinery, manage unprocessed materials, and weigh, package, and prepare orders for shipment.

+ Quality Assurance: Check material tolerances such as thickness, width, length, and flatness. Inspect materials for surface defects and separate non-conforming materials.

+ Machine Operation: Operate and set up machines according to standards. Monitor the machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain daily operation logs. Machines in the Grinding Department include Blanchard Grinders and Gardner Double Disk.

+ Documentation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with Stratix system requirements, follow work instructions precisely, and assist in quality program initiatives.

+ Maintenance & Housekeeping: Conduct biweekly/daily machine maintenance, maintain a clean work area at the end of each shift, and follow lockout/tag-out procedures as required.

+ Warehouse & Inventory: Manage warehouse supplies, maintain the visual board, and assist with inventory control.

+ Training & Development: Support new hire and cross-training efforts.

+ Additional Support: Turn off radios, fans, and other equipment at shift's end, operate control panels, and assist in other areas as directed by management.
