General Job Description Machine Operator $2,500 Sign-on Bonus (Payable after 90 days of Employment) Technibus, Inc. Subsidiary of IES Infrastructure Solutions, LLC 1501 Raff Road, SW Canton, OH 44710 Department: Fabrication Reports to: Production Supervisor Classification: Non Exempt/Hourly Duties &Responsibilities Understand prints and set up sheets Knows all operations and safety procedures of the various sheet metal fabrication machines Operates machinery in a productive manner Ability to setup the machinery with proper program and selection of tools Knowledgeable in die clearance Place miscellaneous sizes of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel on the machines Measure parts with tape and calipers and make necessary adjustments to the set up to ensure accuracy Records daily data on routing sheets Makes own set ups by matching programs to steel and tooling Safely operate tow motor and overhead crane Corroborate with other team members when needed Recognizes and informs department Lead, Production Supervisor, and/or Quality Control of any problems Required Skills & Abilities Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, assembly prints, packing lists, shop orders, and other written correspondence Close attention to detail Ability to recognize quality expected and able to reproduce it Must have good knowledge of fractions and decimals Understand and follow directions Able to use tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc. Operates machines in a safe and productive manner Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Two years' experience in a production environment Personal Protection Equipment Training (PPE), Global Harmonization System Training (GHS), Lock Out- Tag Out Training, (LOTO) Onsite training available Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification Onsite training available Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/ Veterans/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation Specific Qualifications Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen, and when applicable if duties involve operating motor vehicle must be able to pass motor vehicle record check.
