Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Amenia, NY. This role involves operating heavy equipment such as wheel loaders and excavators to load trucks with mulch and assist in topsoil production. The ideal candidate will have experience handling bulk materials, maintaining equipment, and working efficiently in an outdoor environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate wheel loaders to load trucks with mulch and other bulk materials. Use an excavator to process and mix topsoil. Ensure efficient and accurate loading while maintaining safety standards. Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance (greasing, checking fluids, etc.). Work closely with truck drivers to ensure proper loading and weight distribution. Maintain a clean and organized worksite. Follow all company safety protocols and procedures. Qualifications: Experience operating heavy equipment (wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, etc.). Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Mechanical knowledge for minor equipment troubleshooting is a plus.
