Description Basic Job Functions: Altenloh, Brinck & Co. US, Inc. manufactures and distributes engineered fasteners under the SPAX•brand for the construction market, TRUFAST•for the commercial roofing industry and TRUFASTWalls•for exterior building envelopes and facades. AMBA Operators will operate machines and run assigned production, perform machine diagnostics to troubleshoot machine stoppage for immediate repair, and complete tooling repairs and changeovers.Benefits Package:

Essential Responsibilities:Machine Tending Responsibilities
Operate machine and run assigned production: Perform machine tending role when machine is in regular production, notify area lead or managers immediately of malfunctions found that need to be repaired beyond the operator's certified skill level. Complete Batch Checks: Perform required dimensional checks with supplied tools for part quantity on each batch moved from the machine unloading to the completes parts tub. Stop machine and correct/notify quality if batch check is found to be out of specification. Perform Documented SPC Checks: At established intervals ensure documented quality checks are completed and recorded in quality system. This can be done while tending responsibility is relieved by another operator / material handler / quality personnel or completed by one of those associates. Use teamwork for efficient and continual production: Work with other operators / material handlers / quality personnel to relieve tending operations for breaks, quality checks, material handling etc. Complete labor and quantities reporting in ERP system: Use ERP based dispatches for determining job routings, quantities, and material needed for assigned machine. Clock in and out of labor system to record start and ending information as well as quantities completed. Print required product identification and put in completed tubs. Complete Daily Shift Requirements: Complete tasks assigned per Daily Shift Requirement work instruction for proper daily maintenance and machine upkeep. Complete required communication logs: Fill out required documentation to share any pertinent information that future shifts need to know for better future operations. Complete needed material handling for self and others: In the absences of, and in additional to, the material handler each operator is responsible for obtaining, staging, loading, and moving all needed coils and tubs for a continuous operation.Machine Changeover and Troubleshooting Responsibilities
Perform machine diagnostics to troubleshoot machine stoppage for immediate repair: When machine stops operating find root cause, repair and return machine to operations. Perform general maintenance to working areas to ensure machine uptime: Tighten, repair, or replace machine components when found to be out of tolerance. This can be done by listening for unusual sounds, observing malfunctions, and reviewing machine during downtimes and cleaning periods. Report maintenance issues found: Notify area leads, managers, or maintenance immediately of malfunctions found that need to be repaired beyond the operator's certified skill level. Complete tooling repair / replacement: Replace broken or worn tooling identified through visual/batch/SPC checks as efficiently as possible to return machine to normal operations. Notify area leads, managers, or maintenance immediately of malfunctions found that need to be repaired beyond operator's certified skill level. Perform part changeovers as needed: Utilizing machine schedules complete required length and family changes within the operators certified skill level. This will include assisting on changes being completed by setup personnel for tasks required beyond the operator's certified skill level. Ensure 1st Piece Approvals are completed: Complete portion of checks required and ensure quality completion of the 1st piece prior to continual operations and resuming machine tending responsibilities.Position Requirements Experience:
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
