Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Machine Repair A - 2nd Shift.

The hours for this role are 3:30pm - 12am

The hourly rate for this position is $21.85 per hour.

What you'll do:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Perform mechanical repairs on CNC, NC and conventional manufacturing equipment in all areas of the facility.

* Perform trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

* Assembly and installation of new machines and manufacturing equipment.

* Perform routine maintenance, I.E. replacing mechanical components, servomotors, valves, piping, etc., as necessary to ensure equipment preventative maintenance schedules are performed.

* Perform related TPM and/or 5S program maintenance related functions as required.

* Use of measuring equipment to determine machine fits and positioning accuracies.

* Ability to troubleshoot and repair fork lift trucks and related equipment.

* Perform duties as assigned to ensure the continued operation and timely repair of equipment which would include making requests for repair parts, maintaining inventories of repair parts and rebuilding units for repair parts inventory.

* Maintain a safe working environment and a clean work area.

* Report on job progress and log hours in the maintenance tracking system.

* Other duties as required within the job classification and duties of lower classifications.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or GED required

* A minimum of three (3) years prior work experience in an industrial or military setting operating, repairing, maintaining, and/or performing maintenance on manufacturing equipment, industrial equipment, or other types of industrial machinery.

* This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

* No relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 100 miles of Eaton's Jackson, MS facility will be considered for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Two (2) years prior experience operating and/or maintaining CNC equipment

* Five (5) years prior work experience performing maintenance on manufacturing or industrial equipment

Skills:

POSITION CRITERIA:

* Team player attitude demonstrated in boss and peer relationships

* Strong work ethic demonstrated through action orientation and a drive to achieve results

* Experience with manufacturing equipment repair such as CNC machines, milling machines, lathes, grinders, and related metal working equipment

* Experience in repairing low speed cutting spindles on conventional machines

* Experience with and/or training on CNC and NC operation and related systems

* Ability to read technical manuals and related drawings

* Experience operating general maintenance equipment and tools

* Basic knowledge of machine component parts

* Ability to read and understand blueprints and applicable specifications

* Required to have necessary hand tools

* Knowledge of maintenance procedures

* Concern for job safety
