We have an immediate opening for a Service/Repair Technician in our Bellingham, WA facility. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing returned products and tools.Job Responsibilities:
- Process returned machines and tools
- Assess freightdamage
- Diagnose why the machine malfunctioned and/or the tool broke by:
- Observing & listening to damaged product
- Examining all returned parts / machinery
- Dismantling product to find defective parts
- Discussing the product with the customer that found it failing
- Repair or replace defective parts with new or repaired parts and repair electrical equipment
- Realign and adjust components as needed such as:
- Bearings
- Spindles
- Electric motors
- Reassemble and test machines.
- Regularly work with, Hand tools, Power tools, Woodworking & Metal working Machinery, Forklifts, Gear Pullers, Jacks, Cranes, and Hoists.
- Basic computer/PC work to prepare reports, process returns, write batch inspections, send emails, and use our internal messaging system.
- Assist other departments as needed
Job Requirements:
- Mechanical and electrical experience
- Ability to read schematics
- High mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting and problem solving ability
- Organized
- Detail oriented
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and show initiative
- Clean driving record
- Woodworking or metal working experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
