ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team. This full-time, on-site position will involve overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient operations within our machine shop, and maintaining high standards of quality control. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC machines, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of machining processes.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Oversee production planning and execution in the machine shop
- Supervise and guide the machining team to ensure optimal performance
- Manage milling and turning machines, and assembly processes to meet production goals and timelines
- Troubleshoot production issues and solve problems in real-time
- Maintain records of production activities, inventory, and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective leadership
- Perform other related duties, as required
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience (three plus years) in supervisory roles within a manufacturing or machining environment
- Expertise in milling and turning machining processes, particularly in CNC operations
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and production planning
- Ability to lead a team and make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and industry quality standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on experience with CNC machines and other machining equipment
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail
