Machinist General - Textron : Job Details

Function/Program: ManufacturingWork Performed:Sets up and operates at least three different major types of machine shop equipment including milling, eng lathes, and boring machines. Lays out own work. Incumbent is responsible for performing all machine operations necessary to complete assigned job wherein he must operate mills, lathes, drill presses, shapers. Selects tools, speeds and feeds. Works from drawings, engineering orders, sketches or verbal instructions. Uses a wide variety of precision measuring instruments. Plans work for the best sequence of operations. May operate any standard machine tool within his capabilities, including grinders, with the exception of thread grinders.Tools & Equipment Used:Lathes, mills, shapers, boring mills, drills, grinders, etc., machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments.Experience & Other Requirements:Five years related experience.Textron is an Equal Opportunity Employer (M/F/D/V)
