OverviewPOSITION FAMILY DESCRIPTIONInstalls, modif ies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according torequisition documentation, layout plans, blueprints or other drawings | Prepares installation site byconstructing foundations and aligns and fastens machinery to the foundation using hoists, dollies, rollers,trucks, tools, squares, rules and micrometers | Performs operational tests on newly installed, modif ied,repaired and moved machinery and equipment to ensure that it meets technical specif ications | Fabricatesmetal parts for prototype equipment based on drawings | Programs PLCs (programmable logic controllers)Major Position Responsibilities• Assists with the installation, operation, testing, and adjustment of various types ofconventional or automatic machines used to produce precision parts and instruments.• Fabricates and modifies parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrialmachines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout,and machining procedures.• Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines,shapers, or grinders.• Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensureconformance to specifications.Basic Qualifications• Performs manual tasks according to established procedures• Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process• Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods andadheres to quality guidelines• Works with close supervisionVocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-4 years experienceOREquivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or ExperiencePay Range (USD)USD Min $36,750.00/Annu. - Max $68,250.00/Annu.Pay Transparency StatementThe salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
