Machinist - Kodak : Job Details

Role OverviewThe Machinist will operate various machine tools as required to produce a quality part. Primary operations on Bridgeport/Prototrak machine. However, operating other basic machine shop equipment may be required. Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints to determine specifications and requirements necessary to create a quality work piece.

• Position and align work piece for machining. Assist with the assembly of precision fitted parts as applicable. Position and align work piece for machining using hand tools and overhead hoist.

• Know machining concepts relative to speeds/feeds as they apply to different material types. Know machining concepts relative to speeds/feeds as they apply to different material types.
• Verify quality of work piece using measuring instruments, such as callipers, gauges, & micrometres.

• Perform daily maintenance of equipment and maintain a clean working environment.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a wide range of people and personality types.
• Ability to present, communicate and leverage ideas to internal clients.
• Prefer 5-10 years of experience.
