The Opportunity- Manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment using mathematical and geometrical calculations.
- Assist and instruct others in proper set-up procedures. Train new personnel on operation and safe use of mills, saws, CNC lathes, VMC, drill presses, and other shop equipment.
- Assist with the coordination of workflow through the machine shop. Take direction from supervisor/manager and communicate priorities to other machine shop personnel. Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and that deadlines are met according to demands set forth by our customers.
- Perform minor repairs of equipment. Assist equipment maintenance personnel when required. Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards.
- Write and prove out CNC programs when required. Be proficient with basic CNC programing and train others to use programs to machine parts for testing. Troubleshoot and diagnose processes to eliminate variability.
- Complete projects and special tasks as assigned by management.
