Machinist - Tier I - All Shifts - Micromatic LLC : Job Details

Essential Job Functions (Fundamental Job Duties):

• Ability to operate machines to tier level

• Machine parts to required tolerances

• Inspect parts as necessary to meet quality requirements using devices such as calipers, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges

• Perform all necessary hand operations such as filing, fitting, and scraping

• Checks dispatch list for next job

• Cleans machine table & machine

• Sweeps floor and mop

• Record labor for job by keying data into terminal

• Any additional job tasks assigned by management

Education: What is the minimum education level necessary to complete the essential functions of the position?

• High School or equivalent
• Machine Trade School Certification or equivalent work experience
• Applicable math background and skills
• Blueprint reading and interpretation skills

Mandatory Qualification Requirements: What are the mandatory qualification requirements for the position?

• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, including the understanding of geometric tolerance

• Must have general math skills

• Understanding in the use of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gages)

• Basic knowledge of CNC machines or Manual Mills, Lathes, Grinders and Jigs

• Needs to be capable of recognizing a worn insert or tool

• Needs to know how to load, unload, and gage every product ran through the machine
