This position includes a $4000 sign on bonus in 2 installments: $2000 with first payroll, $2000 with successful completion of 120 days. Less applicable taxes and withholding. The Machinist Position operates assigned resources of machining tools and equipment ensuring safety of operations, compliance with quality control standards with productivity targets. The Machinist position continually trouble-shoots and problem-solves production processes to ensure product meets or exceeds all manufacturing set-up and cycle times. Shift: Weekend Days: Friday - Sunday, 4:30 am - 5:00 pm Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understand, adhere, and demonstrate the company's commitment to safety and quality
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance according to shift times or a pre-arranged work schedule
- With minimal or no supervision, run multiple types of machines
- With minimal or no supervision, complete complex setups and production for machine cells and standalone CNC mills
- Advanced proficiency with multiple machine and control types
- Load and adjust CNC programs and offsets
- Use more advanced quality inspection tools and techniques such as height and air gauges and bench inspection
- Apply advanced blueprint and GD&T reading to production inspection processes
- With minimal or no supervision, edit programs and write simple programs to make tooling
- Verify program is stable and part is within tolerance for run
- Verify all set-up documentation is correct and adequate for part run
- Complete MIP sheet for first part
- Ensure correct work orders, programs, and documents are being used for current operation
- Help trouble-shoot production problems
- During times when not assigned a set-up or performing production or as assigned by supervisor; spot check parts and deburr finished product
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Clean the machine at the end of each shift; organize all parts and tools for the job for the next shift
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience; experience in a heavy manufacturing environment preferred

- Proficient at reading and understanding M and G code
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read shop production blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions during production and follow all safety protocols
- Advanced understanding of machine set-up
- Machine shop experience and/or on the job training
- Self-motivated with an ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Ability to work across departments to meet product quality standards efficiently
- Ability to follow instructions given by the operations manager, lead, or senior machinist and carry them out correctly
- Ability to interpret instructions given and apply experience and training throughout the course of the day for each production job assigned
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence
- Ability to read and interpret the English language
- Willingness to learn and, as required, help and/or train others
