Job Summary

We are looking for a person, responsible for warehouse operations activities including shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordination of inventory, cycle counts, unloading and loading trucks as needed, and helping coordinate material handler duties for seamless warehouse flow.

  • Responsible for optimizing inventory accuracy through daily inventory cycle counts and root causing issues.Maintains process and controls for the computerized inventory system and conducts review of inventory data.Cooperates with auditors, as necessary on inventory transactions and counts
  • Responsible for managing two or more warehouse staff.Approving payroll weekly, controlling overtimeand yearly evaluations of personnel
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and well- organized warehouse using lean principles and other tools such as point of use storage, customer stocking programs, 5S and other principles
  • Influence departmental and companywide improvements by generating and implementing continuous improvement ideas weekly
  • Responsible for the complete and on-time shipment of customer orders (internal and external)
  • Responsible for optimization of inbound shipments through carrier selection and scheduling, along with management of incoming receiving processes including count accuracy and part validation to company standard operating procedures
  • Coordinate with Material Handlers for completion of shipping and receiving tasks on a day-to-day basis
  • Coordinates the movement (systematically and physically) between warehouses and 3PL, and is responsible for the condition of the warehouses
  • Responsible for the physical condition of warehouse equipment and notifies maintenance of all repairs needed to maintain equipment at a high standard
  • Communicate concerns regarding policy and procedures as they relate to the shipping and receiving department
  • Use company ERP software to manage inventory, incoming materials and customer shipments to meet business goals and customer commitments. Always looking for ways to utilize the system to gain efficiency
  • Compiles, analyzes and reports on various aspects of obtaining, maintaining, and distributing inventories
  • Reviews warehouse inventory reports (ABC report), recommends actions to finance, scheduling and sales from warehouse inventory report analysis
  • Confers with other managers and departments (sales, manufacturing, purchasing) to ensure coordination of all business functions to meet customer commitments
  • Attends and presents daily results and metrics to the team and reports on daily performances
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED), 2 or 4-year degree in supply chain, logistics or relative field is a plus
  • 3+ years of leadership experience within logistics preferred, 1 year of experience in leading the shipping and receiving process required
  • Experience with inventory control methods and procedures
  • Prior experience with coordinating and managing basic warehouse activities, such as material movement, truck check-ins, and inventory accuracies
  • Experience of cycle count programs, stock and inventories generally warehoused in the facility, as well as computer driven inventory systems
  • Strong experience with 6S and lean material flow
  • Basic ERP software experience required; EPICOR experience highly desirable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Strong communication skills; both written and interpersonal
