This position is responsible for designing and executing the strategy for Magnet designation to support Nursing Excellence with primary accountability at the delivery network level. The position is responsible for ensuring that processes and structures are in place to advance hospital wide and health system goals related to nursing professional practice and nurse-sensitive data management throughout the multi-year Magnet designation process. EDUCATION
Minimum Nursing Degree Bachelors or above. Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, or Business Administration (MBA) required
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of Five years of leadership experience in complex health care environment with demonstrated accomplishment in training, program development, project management, and data management. Previous Magnet Journey/Designation experience preferred.
LICENSURE
Current license as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut and in Rhode Island.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Possess experience to understand the dynamics of a professional practice nursing environment and Magnet standards. Strong communication skills. Must interact with all levels in the organization. Demonstrated competency in project management, ongoing system support and maintenance. Demonstrated ability to lead groups and work on numerous projects simultaneously. Previous management experience is required. Ability to influence and direct the thinking of others and deal with all levels of management and different types of staff.
