Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: Arkansas, is accepting applications for Mail and Shipping Services Clerk. The Mail and Shipping Clerk is responsible for the facilitation of surplus property for in-campus pick up. This position also assists in all outbound shipping & mailing processes for the college in the event that the assistant is unavailable.
Qualifications: Ability to operate the postage meter and shipping scale, weighs letters and parcels for postage, as well as, packages for UPS and FEDEX, and ensures the lowest possible rate of shipping/mailing when needed. • Loads and unloads freight, supplies, and packages from various vendors. • Ability to prepare registered, certified, express mail, USPS, UPS, and FEDEX for proper handling. • Maintains warehouse storage space by keeping warehouse stocked, neat, and clean. • Facilitates the M&R submissions by way of school dude ticket system and assists the Mail & Shipping Supervisor in the process of disposal or recycling of expired state materials through DFA guidelines (M&R). • Documents all pick ups in the department share point spreadsheet. • Prepares weekly updates of completed tickets to supervisor. • Deliver paper orders and keep inventory stock of warehoused paper, informs supervisor when the stock is low • Interpret pertinent details and data to create or prepare forms and spreadsheets as needed. • Ability to operate forklift, trucks, vans, pallet jacks, and golf carts to transport packages. • Performs other duties as assigned.
