Job Description
Processes incoming and outgoing mail and delivers mail as needed.
Job Responsibility
- Processes incoming mail; places mail in individual boxes in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Sorts patient, physician and departmental mail, as needed.
- Re-addresses and forwards mail of formerly employed doctors and hospital personnel, as required.
- Opens hospital addressed mail and dispatches appropriately.
- Performs outgoing mail processing; prepares all outgoing mail for presort.
- Weighs and processes mail through postage meter machine; processes oversized mail and packages by individually weighing, stamping and placing in mail- bags.
- Places mail in appropriate trays and bins.
- Copy documents
- Assists in ensuring that all procedures necessary to process and distribute mail are executed in a timely manner.
- Operates various mail equipment (i.e. letter opener, postage meter machine, high capacity copiers , Arrival System and Express delivery equipment).

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work independently
- Prolonged periods of standing
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
