Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Mailroom Clerk REPORTS TO: Mailroom Supervisor NYDO SUMMARY: The Mailroom Clerk is responsible for efficiently sorting and distributing all incoming packages from various carriers, as well managing all outgoing packages, communicating daily tracking numbers to business partners, and assisting all building employees with any shipping and receiving inquiries. This role will also involve managing the inventory of materials and supplies. The Mailroom clerk is a solution-oriented individual who possess strong communication, and organization skills. As the Mailroom Clerk you will embody our values by creating a positive and productive workplace culture for all associates. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for efficiently receiving, sorting, and delivering all incoming packages from UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL and Couriers.
  • Manages all incoming and outgoing messenger runs.
  • Supports the day-to-day management of the mailroom extension and works with employees to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Maintains inventory of materials and shipping supplies.
  • Uses FedEx software to ship out and manage all out-going packages.
  • Keeps accurate record of mailed items, and communicates daily tracking numbers to business partners.
  • Executes administrative duties as directed
  • Be available to work weekends and evenings for large office events
  • Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years' work experience in same, similar, or transferable field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills •Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
  • Intermediate computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite, and other technology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and competing priorities
  • High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, and weekends
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Climbing ladders
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to continually walk, frequently push/pull, occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/ kneel
PAY/BENEFITS INFORMATION:
  • Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
