Mainframe Systems Programmer Location: REMOTE Interview Process: 1-2 roundsNotes from the manager:

Responsibilities: This systems programming position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the z/OS operating system and 3rd party products environment Perform system Performance and Capacity management Perform Installation, upgrade, configuration, and troubleshooting/problem resolution of the z/OS operating system and third party layered products Interaction with both internal and external resources that include the associated I.S. application teams, I.S. infrastructure teams, corporate Service Desk, business teams, and hardware/software vendors Provide support to the mainframe application developers/programmers in implementing systems and resolving issues Provide on-call support as needed
Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent experience required 10+ years in Information Technology with 8+ years in an enterprise mainframe systems programming environment Sound knowledge of CICS running on z/OS including installation, upgrade configuration, backup/restore and recovery processes. In depth knowledge of the IBM mainframe operating system, z/OS In-depth knowledge of a wide variety of CA/Broadcom products including CA-1, CA-7, CA-11, Top Secret, TPX. Also BMC AMI Storage Products (formally FDRABR) Demonstrated knowledge & experience with programming languages, specifically including COBOL and Assembler. Fundamental knowledge of business processes Solid interpersonal and business relationship skills, including the ability to work independently or on a team Sound verbal & written communication skills Organizational & planning skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, and project manage mid to large scale efforts
