**Job Title:** **Machining - Maintenance Technician**

**SUMMARY:** Installs, maintains, and repairs production machinery, equipment, and plumbing and electrical systems by performing the following duties.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Coordinate all equipment repairs/changes/modifications with engineers and production supervision to ensure most efficient production without affecting quality.

+ Perform diagnostics and repairs on production machines and systems.

+ Working with machine assembly drawings, electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics, diagnoses problem, dismantles defective machines and equipment, initiates orders for and installs new or repaired parts.

+ Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.

+ Install and repair electrical components, such as transformers, relays, switches, printed circuit boards, wiring, etc. of machinery and equipment.

+ Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

+ Install, program, diagnose, and repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots and PLCs.

+ Install, diagnose, and repair automated machinery and equipment such as CNC machining equipment.

+ Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

+ Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, etc.

+ Assist in developing PMs per OEM and engineering recommendations to maximize production uptime and minimize maintenance costs. Performs PM work.

+ Work proactively and implements improvements necessary to eliminate recurring equipment problems.

+ Train as First Responder and responds for medical emergencies and/or chemical spills.

**QUALIFICATIONS To** perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:** Associate Degree in Technical Field and 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of programmable logic controls, robotics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Must have strong knowledge of mechanical systems.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to climb or balance. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
